The Il Calicanto Youth Choir, directed by Silvana Noschese, will be at the center of the musical evening. This initiative is organized by the Pietà de' Turchini Foundation, with the support of the Municipality of Naples.

Music as a Bridge between Past and Present

The evening aims to offer a musical journey through the Neapolitan tradition, examining the continuous fusion between the contemporary and the historical roots. Renowned contemporary Italian composers will present their reinterpretations of famous pieces, trying to keep alive the essence of the original melodies. “Napolifonia” therefore stands as a tribute to music as a universal language and to the cultural diversity of the Mediterranean.

Final Appointments of A Corde spiegate

The “A Corde spiegate” program includes other important events. On Friday, November 29, at Palazzo Donn'Anna, “Mandolin'inCanto” will be held, with the interpretation of the Orchestra a Plettro della Penisola Sorrentina conducted by Michele de Martino, accompanied by the Coro Le Voci del 48 under the direction of Salvatore Murru. The concert series will conclude on Saturday, November 30 with “The Final Concert of the XIII International Baroque Singing Competition 'Francesco Provenzale'” at the Church of Santa Caterina da Siena.

During “Napolifonia”, the audience will have the opportunity to listen to a varied repertoire that ranges from traditional compositions such as “Priesto oje ninne” and “A la fiera de Mast'Andrea” to famous masterpieces such as “Funiculì Funiculà” by L. Denza and G. Turco, and “O sole mio” by G. Capurro and E. Di Capua. All events are free to enter, with prior reservation via email.
