Naples. Yesterday evening, a targeted operation by the State Police led to the arrest of a woman and the reporting of two men at the Naples Central railway station. The initiative is part of a broader context of prevention and fight against drug dealing.
A 40-year-old woman, with a criminal record, was arrested for possession and supply of narcotic substances. During the checks, the police officers of the Railway Police Department for the Campania, with the help of a drug-sniffing canine unit from the Naples Police Headquarters, discovered that the woman was hiding approximately 80 grams of cocaine.
A 38-year-old man, also with a criminal record, was found with 2,5 grams of hashish and 850 euros in cash, while a 59-year-old from Salerno was reported for possession of 1,5 grams of cocaine and 5 grams of hashish.
The operation saw the identification of 1608 people in stations and on trains in Campania, of which 299 had a police record. These interventions underline the commitment of the police forces in maintaining public order and security in key areas such as train stations.
