I Carabinieri of the station Varcaturo They stopped the young man after an investigation that began last August, when a doctor living in the area reported the theft in his villa.
Thanks to security cameras installed in every room of the house, the military was able to reconstruct a detailed profile of one of the thieves. Among the details captured by the high-definition images, one proved decisive: a tattoo on the suspect's left forearm, left visible by a blue T-shirt.
The tattoo depicted two roses, a pocket watch with the hands stopped at 5 o’clock, and the name “Anna.”
By meticulously analyzing the images and cross-referencing the data with available databases, the Carabinieri identified the young man, discovering that he resided in the Secondigliano nomad camp.
However, at the time of the first searches, the boy was not found in the settlement. The investigation continued without stopping, until a clue led the military to a house in the Caserta area.
The raid was quick and precise. The Carabinieri burst into the apartment, finding the 18-year-old with the tattoo still visible on his arm. The handcuffs snapped on at 11, while the hands of the tattoo remained stopped at 5, as in the photo that unmasked him.
The arrest was validated and the Judge ordered house arrest for the young man, who will now have to answer to the charges of burglary. A case solved thanks to technology and a detail that, this time, was stronger than any alibi.

It's interesting how a tattoo and a pocket watch can lead to a person's arrest, but I wonder if there is other evidence that helped the Carabinieri solve the case. Technology is important but it shouldn't be the only thing you rely on.
