On Tuesday evening, the police officers from the police station Arenella, during a specially set up service, noticed, near the gardens of via Domenico Fontana, two young people on board a scooter whose driver, at the sight of them, accelerated in an attempt to evade the control.
For this reason, the police chased them and stopped them a short distance away and found, in the under-seat compartment of the scooter, a bag of marijuana weighing approximately 30 grams and a precision scale, while in the passenger's wallet the sum of 145 euros.
Since there was good reason to believe that there could be further elements in relation to the facts for which they were proceeding, the operators carried out a check at the latter's apartment where they found another 2.100 euros and various packaging material for the drug.
Therefore, a 20-year-old Neapolitan was arrested for illicit possession of narcotics and reported for resisting a public official, while the driver, identified as a 19-year-old Neapolitan, was reported for resisting a public official.
