The investigations, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Naples North, have allowed to ascertain that the two women, in two days, used cloned debit cards to purchase hundreds of Scratch & Win tickets and packs of cigarettes in commercial activities in the Caserta area.
The total purchases were approximately 13 thousand euros.
The unsuspecting owners of the original cards, investigators have ascertained, were deceived by individuals posing as postal officials, who they provided via text message the PIN to access their accounts.
The analysis of the shops' video surveillance cameras later confirmed the purchases made by the two women, who ended up under house arrest.
