Jannik Sinner has reached the semifinals of the 2024 Australian Open. The Italian, world number 4, defeated Russian Andrei Rublev in the quarterfinals with a score of 6-4, 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 in 2h'39'.

“It's always a pleasure to play on this court, no matter what time it is,” explains the South Tyrolean tennis player, seeded number 4. “How did I manage to recover from a 5-1 tie-break in the second set? And who knows… At 5-1 I changed courts, there was a bit more wind.”
Sinner: “Against Djokovic I will have to be 100% on every ball”
Sinner has now blossomed as an absolute talent: “In these two years, it has been important to grow as a person and a player. The company is also important and gives you wonderful feelings. Of course, if you win we are happier but we are happy together anyway. And then the hard work is bearing fruit”.
Now, in his way, there is Novak Djokovic: "I'm lucky to face him again, he's the number one in the world, and it's going to be tough. I'll have to be 100 percent and I'll fight for every ball, then we'll see what happens", concluded Sinner.
