On Tuesday, the municipal administration of Battipaglia will pay homage to Antonio de Curtis, better known as Toto, dedicating an entire day of events and celebrations. The day will begin at 12:00 with the inauguration of a bust in honor of the famous Neapolitan comic actor in Piazza Ferrovia.
The installation of the bust represents a symbol of recognition for Totò's immense contribution to Italian culture and cinema. In the afternoon, at 18:30 pm, the Salotto Comunale will host two important events. First, the personal painting exhibition of the master Antonio Morgese will be inaugurated, entitled "Battipaglia and the social and Toto".
The exhibition explores the connection between the city of Battipaglia and the cultural legacy of Totò, through art and social neorealism. Later, again at the Salotto Comunale, the book “Vi disegno il mio Totò” will be presented. This volume offers an intimate perspective on the icon of Italian cinema, with illustrations and stories that outline his unique character and inimitable talent.
The godmother of the event will be Elena Anticoli de Curtis, granddaughter of the great Totò and president of the Antonio de Curtis Foundation, aka Totò. Her presence gives added value to the day, underlining the strong family bond and the continuity of Totò's artistic legacy.
