Seven arrested for gangmastering Napoli and Caserta: they exploited over 60 non-EU workers

Seven people were arrested, three of them in prison and four under house arrest, on charges of illicit intermediation and exploitation of agricultural labor. The investigations, which lasted from January to June 2023, revealed a picture of very serious exploitation.

Anyone who tried to rebel was threatened, even with death, and suffered abuse. One of the suspects recruited labor from a second agricultural company, using a false contract.
Farm seized for 200.000 euros
In addition to the arrests, a farm linked to two of the suspects was seized, worth approximately 200.000 euros.
