The mother, Giovanna Francesca Cecere, who had experienced six miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy with significant medical consequences, had turned to assisted fertilization. The medical intervention that followed the remaining part of the pregnancy was decisive. Emma's arrival
At the end of the high-risk pregnancy, and given the breech positioning of the fetus, the medical team performed a cesarean section. A team effort involving several specialists and health workers in the operating room, culminating in the birth of Emma at 9:06 a.m. on November 22, weighing 2,690 pounds.
Despite the difficulties faced, the mother's satisfaction is tangible, thanking all the staff of the "Malzoni Research Hospital" for the support received during this significant experience. The family hopes to soon donate a little brother or sister to Emma, already planning the transfer of the cryopreserved blastocysts.
