In the past week, an extraordinary territorial control service has been implemented in various strategic areas of Napoli.
The agents of the General Prevention Office, in collaboration with the Italian Army soldiers involved in the “Safe Roads” operation and with the support of the Local Police, have intensified monitoring activities in Piazza Garibaldi, as well as in the Decumani, Fuorigrotta and Poggioreale districts.In particular, in the Decumani and other areas involved, attention was focused on combating the activity of illegal parking attendants. To this end, the motorcyclists of the "Nibbio" unit of the General Prevention Office also intervened.
The numbers of the operation speak for themselves: 257 people were identified, 78 of whom had a police record, and 9 individuals were reported for repeat offenders in the illegal activity of illegal parking attendant. In addition, 216 vehicles were checked, with one vehicle seized, and 186 fines were issued for violations of the Highway Code. During the checks, 4 garages were also inspected.
Movida under observation: Checks in Mergellina and Largo Sermoneta
Over the weekend, the attention of the police shifted to the nightlife area of Mergellina, with targeted checks on chalets and Largo Sermoneta. Agents from the Office of General Prevention and Public Aid, with the support of the Municipal Police, identified 139 people, including 20 with criminal records, and verified the legality of 42 vehicles.
The operations, conducted as part of a territorial control plan, aim to guarantee greater security for citizens and to combat illegal activities that undermine public order.
