An organization that defrauded people has been busted elderly throughout Italy: the Carabinieri have been engaged since last night in a major operation which has led to 29 arrests in the city of Napoli, Caserta and Turin.
The investigation is coordinated by the Genoa Public Prosecutor's Office, where the first complaint was filed, and also involves the military of the Provincial Command of the Ligurian capital, which is conducting this initiative with the aim of dismantling an organisation rooted in Naples, specialising in scams using the “fake marshal” technique.
Since the early hours of today, the Carabinieri have carried out numerous field operations to hit the criminal group. The investigations have led to the issuing of 29 precautionary measures by the Court of Genoa, which concern both the leaders of the organization and the material executors of the scams, which operated on a national scale.

It is important that the authorities take action against such organizations that exploit the most vulnerable people such as the elderly. We hope that this operation will lead to greater security for everyone and that the perpetrators will be punished.
