A riot of colors, elegance and charity animated the Agorà Morelli, in the underground heart of Naples, with the second edition of the Carnival of Solidarity: among glittering masks, extravagant costumes and a unique atmosphere, the exclusive event raised funds for the “Accoglienza Famiglie” project of the Santobono Pausilipon Foundation, which offers support to the relatives of the young patients of the pediatric hospital.
Organized by the Associazione Borbonica Sotterranea, Visivo Comunicazione and Agorà Morelli, the dance transformed the Neapolitan underground into a real theater of suggestions. “For the second consecutive year we have created a one-of-a-kind Carnival – declared Gianluca Minin, president of the Bourbon Underground Association – an event that combines culture, entertainment and solidarity in an extraordinary setting”.
The refined and enveloping atmosphere welcomed the guests, who, at the entrance, received a mask to complete their outfit, just like in the great balls of the past. Design and art were also protagonists thanks to the installation “Ippolito Design”, which added a creative touch to the suggestive context of the underground cavities.
“We wanted to bring the Carnival to a symbolic place in the city, mixing the charm of the mask with the art and culture of Naples” explained the organizers Ludovico Lieto and Valeria Viscione. Making the evening even more special were the DJ set by Fernando Opera and the live performances, including burlesque shows with Holly's Good and engaging dances, which transformed the ball into a memorable event.
The beating heart of the evening was the charitable purpose: the proceeds, net of expenses, were donated to the Foundation Santobono Pausilipon to support the “Accoglienza Famiglie” project. Thanks to this initiative, three apartments have been renovated and furnished to host the relatives of hospitalized children, offering them concrete support in a difficult moment.
Numerous participants, including Matilde Minervini, Vincenzo Sannino, Clelia Fierro, Roberto Houber, Antonio Pone, Dino Morra, Enzo Paldo, Giuseppe Fierro, Alessandra Valente, Angelo Fabi, Sabina Azzolio, Cesar Jiulio, Felice Mondo, Cristina Burns and Viviana Santoro. An event made possible also thanks to the contribution of several entrepreneurs from Campania, including Massimo Vernetti with Yes Napoli, Giosuè Ippolito with Ippolito Design, Salvio Bruognolo with Auto Bruognolo, Renato Ruggiero with Farinati Pizza and More, Antonio Riccardo and Nicola Acella with Make-up Academy and Smart Digital.

The Carnival of Solidarity event seems to have been a great success, but I wonder if the funds raised were managed well. I hope this project can really help families in difficulty.
