Yesterday afternoon, the Carabinieri carried out targeted checks at a mechanical workshop in San Marcellino, where during the checks they found, inside a room in the basement, hazardous and non-hazardous special waste, consisting of car parts and processing waste piled up on the floor.
The Carabinieri then proceeded with the preventive seizure of the workshop and the criminal seizure of the relevant basement room. The owner, a 58-year-old from the province of Caserta, was reported in a state of freedom and will have to answer for unauthorized waste management.
