The State Police executed an order issued by the Court of Naples - GIP Section which orders the application of the precautionary measure of prison custody against Diego Andretta, 49 years old, Pasquale Balascio, 35 years old, Vincenzo Capone, 51 years old and Behr Jani, an Albanian citizen, 46 years old and house arrest against Carmine Pacilio, 64 years old, his brother Giordano Salvatore Pacilio, 54 years old and Antonio Riemma, 76 years old.
All considered to be seriously suspected, to varying degrees, of the crimes of fraudulent transfer of assets, usury aggravated by mafia methods, extortion aggravated by mafia methods, possession of weapons aggravated by mafia methods and possession and trafficking of narcotic substances.
The investigative activity, carried out since February 2022 by the Flying Squad of Napoli and from the Acerra Police Station, directed and coordinated by the Naples District Anti-Mafia Directorate, has allowed the collection of evidence regarding the existence of two Camorra groups operating in the Acerra area, united by an alliance, but distinct from each other, so much so that each has its own leaders and affiliates.
The one headed by Salvatore Andretta and the one headed by Bruno Avventurato. The investigation then allowed us to detect a serious circumstantial framework against Diego Andretta and Pasquale Balascio, whose illicit activities in the matter of usury, carried out in order to facilitate the Andretta clan, at a certain point crossed paths with those of Capone, as they related to individuals who had accrued debts towards both.
Furthermore, the fictitious ownership/availability of the companies operating in the funeral services sector in the Acerra area was ascertained. In particular, the investigative activities carried out have ascertained that for decades in the area in question, in the funeral services sector, the “Pacilio” family has always distinguished itself, managing in an almost monopolistic manner the activity of funeral transport, burial services, inhumations and exhumations, printing and posting of obituary notices in the area.
During the investigations, it emerged that the ownership of the funeral companies in March 2022 had been fictitiously attributed by the Pacilio brothers to Antonio Riemma, in order to evade the provisions regarding preventive measures, an anti-mafia interdiction having been issued against the Pacilio company.
Finally, during the activity, the figure of Behar Jani emerged, seriously suspected of having imported large quantities of amnesia-type narcotic substances from Spain in the summer of 2022; as well as of having offered for sale large quantities of cocaine and amnesia between August and September 2022, in collaboration with the suspect Antonio Riemma.
