Naples. The benches in Piazza Capuana are more than just places to relax, they are real mobile drug sales points.
Further confirmation of this phenomenon, which has already led to several arrests in recent months, came last night, when officers from the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station, while carrying out territorial control, while passing through Piazza Capuana, noticed a man sitting on a bench who, in exchange for money, gave something to a person.
At that point the officers intervened but both the seller and the buyer attempted to flee in different directions.
But after a short chase they reached and blocked the seller, finding him in possession of 5 packages of cocaine and 140 euros, the obvious proceeds of the buyer's drug dealing activity.

The buyer was also stopped and found in possession of the dose he had just purchased.
Hidden under the bench were 5 more packages of the same substance.
The 45-year-old from Burkina Faso was arrested on charges of illegal possession and supply of drugs as well as for resisting a public official, while the buyer was administratively sanctioned for possession of narcotics for personal use.
