This morning in Naples, a tragic accident saw one lorry overwhelm a cyclist 86 years old in via Argine.
The rescuers were unable to save him: the man, transported to the Ospedale del Mare, died after about an hour.
The accident occurred shortly before 11:XNUMX a.m., at the intersection of Via Argine and Via Principe di Napoli. The victim, riding a racing bike, was hit by an articulated lorry coming from Cercola, headed toward the center of Naples.
The truck driver immediately stopped the vehicle to provide assistance. At the scene of theaccident an ambulance and road accident personnel intervened.
The driver, detained by the Municipal Police, will be subjected to the usual toxicological tests.
