Today, at the Government Palace, a meeting was held, convened by the Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, at the request of the trade unions Fenealuil, Filca Cisl and Filea Cgil. The meeting concerned the procedure for dismissing the staff of the Consorzio Rione Terra di Pozzuoli.
The meeting was attended by the mayor of Pozzuoli, representatives of the Campania Region, the Consortium Rione Terra, in addition to the delegates of the trade unions. During the meeting, the reasons that pushed the Rione Terra Consortium to initiate the collective dismissal were analyzed, linked to uncertainties about the future of the activities.
The parties involved have expressed their intention to define new ways of carrying out the work, in order to guarantee its continuity and the maintenance of jobs.
As a result, the Rione Terra Consortium has stated that it intends to request an extension of the dismissal procedure until November 20, pending decisions by the regional body.
