The Fausto Rossano Award moves to the Teatro Bolivar: focus on cinema and mental health.

Il – Social and Cultural Cinema Festival continues its tenth edition with a focus on Second Generations.

The central theme of the festival is “People” and the event will continue with free admission until 7 December 2024, with the conclusion scheduled for for the awards ceremony.

The festival, conceived by Marco Rossano and artistically directed by Sergio Sivori, has seen the selection of 36 works from 13 nations, divided into five categories. The juries, chaired by journalist Titta Fiore, are responsible for evaluating the works in competition.

Second Generations

On Thursday, December 5, from 19.00:23.00 p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., the Teatro Bolivar will be the stage for discussions and screenings on the theme of Second Generations. This section is made possible thanks to the collaboration with Cooperativa Dedalus, Centro Interculturale Officine Gomitoli and Associazione CoNNGI. Two screenings out of competition are scheduled: the documentary “Un milione di italiani (non sono italiani)” by Maurizio Braucci, during which the director will be present together with Marta Minari and various workers from Cooperativa Dedalus; and “Kvara. Una storia d'amore e calcio” by Mario Leombruno and Raffaele Iardino, followed by speeches by Phaim Bhuiyan and Re Salvador.

Scheduled Events

The evening will conclude with musical performances by Simona Boo, Sara Vanderwert and Pier Paolo Polcari. The Fausto Rossano Award receives the support of the Campania Region and the Film Commission, and has the patronage of the University of Naples Federico II. The illustration awarded to the winners is made by Spiff, aka Andrea Maresca.
