Naples – This morning the State Police carried out a blitz at Rome Fiumicino airport, where officers executed a custodial order against a man seriously suspected of extortion aggravated by mafia methods.
The order, issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples at the request of the Neapolitan District Anti-Mafia Directorate, was executed with the support of the Border Police.
The investigation, conducted by Flying Squad of Naples, has brought to light an alleged system of intimidation and threats against the owner of a garage in the historic center of the Campania capital.
The arrested man, who ran a competing business in the same area, allegedly pressured his colleague to hand over control of the incoming car flow, thus ensuring greater profits for his garage.

According to the investigators' reconstruction, the man exploited his ties with local organized crime figures to intimidate the victim, even going so far as to threaten to kill him, his family and his employees.
In some cases, he would even have forced the transfer of vehicles already parked in the other garage, forcing the owners to move them to their own business. In addition to the arrest, the police carried out the preventive seizure of the suspect's garage.
