Il prefect di Napoli, Michele from Bari, has adopted 15 new anti-mafia interdictions to prevent the risk of infiltration of organised crime into the legal economy.
The measures, which are part of a broad counter-strategy, concern companies based in Naples, Brusciano, Cercola, San Giuseppe Vesuviano and Volla, operating mainly in the sectors of fuel sales, logistics, road haulage and food distribution.According to the Prefecture, these sectors are particularly attractive to organized crime, as they guarantee huge profits. The mafias exploit these activities through illegal practices such as money laundering, tax evasion and the use of irregular labor.
The interdictions Anti-mafia represent an important preventive measure, which aims to protect the legal economy and safeguard the sectors most exposed to possible criminal interference. These measures are part of a broader action plan by the institutions to combat the rooting of organized crime in the business fabric of the Campania region.
