Ahead of the Christmas holidays, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis shared a greeting live on Radio Crc. During his remarks, he revealed his intention to bring struffoli with him on his trip to America.
De Laurentiis said: “Tomorrow I will take struffoli on the plane, they will accompany me on the trip to America. I take struffoli everywhere, even to Argentina, Uruguay and other places.” He also explained the difference in preparing struffoli, noting:
“At home they are made differently, the struffoli we make are very small and sometimes you even find a nut.”
He also joked that “we make the Milanese eat candied fruit, we have apricots from Vesuvius in the panettone.” Finally, he mentioned having “14 people at the table” and expressed his affection for the captain, while acknowledging that he “struggled to make the others eat.”

It's a nice gesture to bring struffoli to America, but I wonder if there's really a need to eat them at a table with 14 people. Isn't that a bit much? I like them, but not in this way.
