A magical atmosphere enveloped Palazzo San Giacomo, transformed for an afternoon into Santa Claus's house. Dozens of children, with smiles on their faces, received the gift packages collected thanks to the project “Suspended toy”, promoted by the municipal administration to bring joy to children living in difficult situations.
The mayor was there to welcome the young guests Gaetano Manfredi, the councilor for youth policies and work Clare Marciani and other members of the council, accompanied by a special surprise: the singer Ste, which provided moments of joy and music. Music, in fact, is the theme of the 2024-2025 edition of the project. Thanks to the support of the Bontempi, who donated a thousand musical instruments, children will be able to discover the educational and creative power of notes.
The “Suspended Toy” does not stop here: until theEpiphany, anyone can participate in the initiative by purchasing a gift at participating stores or online on the dedicated platform (link here). The project, which has its roots in the Neapolitan tradition of “suspended coffee”, is based on solidarity and community commitment.
Mayor Manfredi, enthusiastic about the success of the initiative, declared: "The surprise and happiness on the faces of children today are the most authentic expression of Christmas. This event has become a tradition for our city, and for this we must thank the associations that work all year with children in difficulty, the shopkeepers who have joined and, above all, the citizens of Naples who continue to demonstrate their generosity."
