The mother recalls the last moments of his life: “He was a human firebrand”. Borrelli: “You can’t die for 500 euros a month. Let’s stop the massacres at work, let’s stop the slaughter of young people”

The pain for the death of is still too great Patrizio Spasiano, the 19-year-old who lost his life following an ammonia leak during an extraordinary maintenance operation that took place inside a factory, Frigocaserta srl of Gricignano d'Aversa.

But so great is the thirst for justice of family members and friends that on Friday 31 January they will give life to a demonstration that will start at 19:30 pm from the Church of Cristo Re in Secondigliano.

“Patrì, you will always be with us”- is the writing that stands out next to his photo on a t-shirt made by the 19-year-old's friends. Despite those words to pay homage to their lifelong friend, the boy's absence in the family is felt and his old room is a place of memories, a museum of relics, the room of those objects that belonged to Patrizio that try to fill an unfillable void.

Especially for the mother who, visibly affected and moved, recounted the last moments of her son's life: "He was like a human ember, his skin was completely blackened and his nose was almost completely consumed. But he had one eye open as if to let me know that he had heard my calls during the accident. The thing that struck me most was his expression, a shocked expression as if he had been taken by surprise"

Also taking part in the march for justice will be the Green-Sinistra alliance MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli who once again gave voice to the cry of pain of the Spasiano family and brought them comfort.

“Dead for 500 euros a month” - comments the MP - “This was the amount that Patrizio earned as an intern. Dead because he was exploited. Dead because he was sent to the front line without adequate safety measures.

So on Friday it is a duty, it is morally obligatory, for all citizens to take part in the demonstration. To give comfort, to show closeness to this family destroyed by pain, but also to stop the massacres at work, to stop the slaughter of very young people. The louder the cry for justice, the less they will be able to pretend not to listen to us. Come everyone!”
