Ischia – The extraordinary commissioner for post-earthquake reconstruction interventions on the island of Ischia, Giovanni Legnini, has signed 10 decrees authorizing the granting of almost 6 million euros to start 9 new private reconstruction sites after the earthquake and the relocation of 4 real estate units.
These measures give the go-ahead to the reconstruction and repair of 22 real estate units, spread across 9 buildings (of which 12 real estate units in the municipality of Casamicciola Terme, 8 in Lacco Ameno and 2 in Forio), with an overall investment exceeding 5,4 million euros. A further decree provides for the granting of over 500 thousand euros for the relocation of 4 real estate units, all in the municipality of Casamicciola Terme.
“The resumption of the decree for the granting of contributions for private reconstruction and for relocations consolidates the positive trend of recent months and represents a further element of confidence for the development of post-earthquake and post-landslide activities on the island of Ischia”, comments Legnini.
At the same time, the activity related to the replacement intervention of the extraordinary commissioner towards the recipients of the Contributo di autonomo (Cas) who have not respected the deadlines for the presentation of the projects, as provided for by the special ordinance number 8 (31 July, 31 October and 31 December), continues.
Even after the January 31 extension, set by special ordinance no. 10, expired, the first draws were carried out in recent days to identify the professionals responsible for submitting the grant applications and projects.
Following the drawing of lots, within the three candidates indicated by the Professional Orders and Colleges of Campania by virtue of the agreement signed with the Commissioner's Office on 13 May, 7 technicians were appointed.
Thus, an innovative measure of great relevance for the reconstruction processes in Ischia comes to life, which has the dual objective of expanding the audience of professionals involved in the reconstruction activities and accelerating the presentation of projects.
In order to also facilitate the reconstruction of the building aggregates damaged by the earthquake and the formation of the consortia necessary for the presentation of the application for the contribution and the related unitary project, the Commissioner's Structure will activate further replacement interventions.
The replacement action will also be started shortly against the owners who have not provided for the constitution of the mandatory consortium, the deadline for which expired on February 15th.
In this regard, Commissioner Legnini signed an additional act to the Memorandum of Understanding with the Professional Orders and Colleges of Campania to allow the appointment of technicians, identified by the same Professional Orders and Colleges, as commissioners ad acta for the establishment of the mandatory consortia.
