Competitions, music, comedy are the main ingredients of a festival that allows new authors and emerging comedians to be evaluated by a quality jury for the coveted Massimo Troisi Award and to perform on a prestigious stage.
The 26rd edition of the Massimo Troisi Award – Observatory on Comedy, under the Artistic Direction of actor Gino Rivieccio, will kick off on June 1. The event will take place at Villa Bruno until Saturday, July XNUMX, where national and Campanian guests will alternate every evening.
Admission is free, upon reservation, and subject to availability. Tickets can be booked from Saturday 10 June via the EventBrite platform, accessible directly from the portal www.e-cremano.it in the section dedicated to the Massimo Troisi Award. Shows start at 21.15:XNUMX p.m.
The program of the event was illustrated today, June 7, in a press conference at Palazzo Santa Lucia by the artistic director Gino Rivieccio together with the Mayor of San Giorgio a Cremano, Giorgio Zinno, the Deputy Mayor Pietro De Martino and in the presence of the Governor of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca who commented as follows: “The cultural political choice of the Region is democratic: we try to enhance as many expressions of our territories as possible, giving breath to exhibitions and large theaters but also to neighborhoods and innovative initiatives like this one in San Giorgio a Cremano - said De Luca - Troisi, in addition to being a great artist, is the symbol of the South and its humanity. The award program is beautiful. We will continue to support this event that has become a symbol of the tourist season of the Campania Region”.
The Mayor of San Giorgio a Cremano Giorgio Zinno declared in the conference: "I thank the Campania Region, in particular President Vincenzo De Luca who strongly supports the Troisi Award, continuing to remember our illustrious fellow citizen with an important event and at the same time believing in the goal of giving new talents the opportunity to express themselves. The Award represents one of the most anticipated summer events, as in addition to being a true observatory on comedy and hosting national and international artists, it enhances one of the most beautiful villas of the Golden Mile, "Villa Bruno "which is one of the historical-artistic jewels of the entire Vesuvian area".
"We have a program suitable for young and old. For the fourth time I am director, I always think about what Massimo would have liked." added the artistic director Gino Rivieccio.
