Eduardo De Crescenzo returns to perform in Naples and is sold out: Thursday 13 June at 21 pm he presents “Jazz Essences” at Palazzo Reale, as part of the seventh edition of the Noisy Naples Fest.
With him on the stage, set up in the spaces of the Romantic Garden of Palazzo Reale, there will be a roster of some of the most appreciated musicians on the contemporary jazz scene: Enzo Pietropaoli on double bass, Marcello Di Leonardo on drums, Julian Oliver Mazzariello on piano, Daniele Scannapieco on saxophone and Susanna Krasznai on cello.
Essenze Jazz is the concert that Eduardo De Crescenzo he built to sign his long career: Ancora, L'odore del mare, E la musica va, Sarà così, Il racconto della sera, Naviganti …
Presented for the first time in 2012 at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, it has become his identity document, a musical biography that allows him to hold together his multiple talents as a singer, performer, accordionist, composer, arranger. The concert in which he manages to hold together that generational pop audience that grew up with the human values that Eduardo transmits with his music and that “good mouth” audience aware of his artistic talents.
An original format that can be listened to endlessly because it never repeats itself: in open dialogue with the great jazz musicians who accompany him on stage, it allows for many moments of extemporaneous composition that come as a surprise to the audience in the room and to the musicians themselves who are playing.
Essenze Jazz is an exciting musical biography that reveals in a single concert all the characteristics of Eduardo's sound world. The refined interpretations of the Italian and Neapolitan chansonniers who at the beginning of the 20th century were inspired by France, the tight rhythm of the scat vocalization that he discovered in adolescence in the American clubs on the port of Naples where jazz was played in the evenings, the suggestions of the Mediterranean that inspire him from the sea or from the alleys of his city.
After the concerts at Palazzo Reale, the seventh edition of the Noisy Naples Fest will continue in the classic venue of the Arena Flegrea where Tony Effe is expected on July 4, Coez and Frah Quintale on July 11, Subsonica and 99 Posse on July 12, Ariete on July 18, Xavier Rudd on August 9 and Edoardo Bennato on September 20.
