Acerra, threatens wife with a gun: 32-year-old arrested

In Acerra, a 32-year-old man was arrested by the State Police for mistreatment in the family, violence, injuries, resisting a public official and illegal possession of clandestine and altered weapons, as well as for receiving stolen goods.

The subject, originally from Castel Colturno and with a criminal record, was stopped yesterday afternoon.

The officers of the Acerra Police Station, during a routine patrol, intervened at a home following a report of an assault on a woman.

Upon their arrival, the victim reported that she had been attacked by her husband, as had already happened in the past. The man, clearly in a state of altered mood, reacted violently against the police, who managed to stop him only after a scuffle.

At home a Beretta pistol and a sawn-off shotgun

The woman also revealed that she had previously been threatened by her husband with a gun. The agents then extended the search to the man's home in Castelvolturno, where they found a Beretta pistol with the serial number erased, a severed shotgun stolen, 12 12-gauge cartridges and another 30 7.65 caliber.
