New drug seizure and Cell since prison di Aryan Irpinian. The news was given by the Regional Secretary of OSAPP, Autonomous Organization of Penitentiary Police, Vincenzo Palmieri.
In the last two days we have to record the discovery and seizure of two cell phones and drugs.The first cell phone, in perfect working order, with approximately 90 grams of drugs was found in the luggage of a new prisoner arriving from another penitentiary.
The second cell phone was found yesterday in a crevice in the wall of a room used by prisoners in common.
“The Penitentiary Police Staff of Ariano Irpino,among a thousand daily difficulties including an evident lack of staff, manages with his professionalism to be a bulwark of legality within the Penitentiary”.
OSAPP National Councilor Emilio Fattorello intervenes on the matter, highlighting "the existing operational difficulties, due to the structural deficiencies of the structure that have been denounced several times and which also affect the quality of detention, as well as the lack of staff in the Department.
To make matters worse for the Department's Management and Command, there is the continuous arrival at the Ariano "Border Prison" of inmates evacuated from other institutions in the District, most of the time for reasons of order and security, who have been hostile since their arrival.
All this was reported to the General Director of Personnel Dr. Massimo PARISI on the 17th of this month at the DAP. As also noted following our visit to the institute on the 15th of this month during which we met with the staff, the union secretaries and the Director Dr. Maria Rosaria Casaburo, with whom we took stock of the situation”.
