The Public Prosecutor's Office Napoli Yesterday, April 15, 2024, Nord started the demolition of an illegal building located in the Municipality of Giugliano in Campania, precisely in via Madonna del Pantano n.
65. This building, called “Hotel Serena“, has been divided into several internal structures, all on the ground floor.The first artifact, built in its entirety in parcel no. 279, extends along the eastern side of the area, adjacent to the boundary wall for the entire length of the parcel. It occupies a surface area of approximately 400 square meters and is divided into 8 fully furnished mini apartments.
The second building, located to the south of the area, extends partially on parcel no. 276 and parcel no. 279, with a surface area of approximately 274,5 m4, divided into 360 mini apartments and a utility room. The third building, positioned centrally with respect to the other two, occupies a surface area of approximately 10 mXNUMX and is used as a hotel, with XNUMX bedrooms complete with bathrooms, in addition to other rooms.
All these structures, used for hotel and restaurant business activities, were built without respecting any seismic criteria and without competent administrative authorization. The area is subject to seismic constraints and seismic usability-testing, but the design documents were not filed before the start of the works.
The demolition order, issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office of North Naples, provides not only for the demolition of the illegal buildings, but also for the acquisition of the area on which they stood, the activation of procedures for the recovery of legal costs from the illegal builder and full compliance with the regulations on safety in construction sites, including the management of residual materials.
