An embrace between literature and music
“I giorni del mare” is not an everyday event in the cultural landscape: a book that inspires a song. The single, written by singer-songwriter Davide Mottola and available on all digital platforms, draws inspiration from the novel by Caterina Adriana Cordiano, published in 2019. Despite the success it received, the book did not benefit from the promotion due to the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic. Thanks to Mottola's musical work, it now discovers a new life.
A personal journey
The book tells the story of a man searching for his own identity: a journey that is also reflected in Mottola's lyrics. The narrative explores themes such as the escape from disappointments, the detachment from urban restlessness, and the search for refuge. Mottola found in these literary nuances the inspiration to create a song in which readers and listeners can recognize themselves and confront their personal experiences.
The event in Naples
The event will take place at the Piccolo Teatro Massimo Troisi, a space reopened in recent years thanks to a collaboration between the Novaro-Cavour Institute and the Angeli association. The theater, which has become a point of reference for the local community, will host the presentation of both the book and the song. Participants, in addition to the authors Cordiano and Mottola, will also include Valeria Vespa, Giuseppe Gifuni, Ivan Fedele, Eugenio Diffidenti and Gerry Mottola. The event is organized by Frammenti Sonori Associazione Culturale and other local partners.

very interested in the event on Monday, but I don't know if I can come because I have other commitments. The book seems beautiful and the song too, but I'm not sure I understood everything. It will be a good opportunity to delve into the story of the man who searches for his identity, I hope there will be a good turnout.
