Starting February 1st, EAV, the Campania Region's public transport company, will expand the services it offers to citizens thanks to an agreement recently signed with the unions.
The company announced this in an official note, underlining that the agreement concerns the strengthening of the rubber lines.
Among the main innovations are new activations in the northern area of Naples: lines 922 (Afragola Av–Casoria–Naples, via Tangenziale), 924 (Caivano–Casoria–Naples, via Tangenziale) and 971 (Grumo–Scampia–Naples) will connect important intermodal hubs such as the Afragola AV station, Casoria RFI, Scampia/Piscinola (Metro L1 and EAV Arcobaleno Line), Capodichino airport, Napoli Garibaldi station and Piazza Municipio/Porto. These connections are designed to facilitate both students and workers and tourists, intercepting a growing demand for mobility.
Another important innovation concerns line 927, which for the first time will offer a direct connection from the northern area of Naples to the hilly and hospital area of the capital, connecting Afragola Av, Casoria station and the Monaldi Hospital.
In the Phlegraean area, line 982 will be introduced, which will allow, with departures from the municipalities of Qualiano and Marano, to reach the railway services of Quarto (Circumflegrea/EAV and Trenitalia).
Additional services are also planned for student mobility, with improved connections to the university centers of Fisciano (Salerno), Monte Sant'Angelo and the hospital area of Naples. Increased runs have also been scheduled along the main routes of the Phlegraean, Nolan and Torrese/coastal basins.
All the details on the new timetables and routes will be available on the official website of EAV at www.eavsrl.it.

The article mentions increased service on public transport, but it is unclear how these changes will impact everyday travellers. Hopefully the new timetables will be easy to understand and accessible to all.
