In Naples, in the Barra and Ponticelli neighborhoods, a sudden failure in a main water main caused pressure shortages, turbidity phenomena and disruptions in the water supply.

The news was reported by Abc Napoli, which specified the need for urgent intervention on the city network.

Following this situation, the General Management of the ASL Napoli 1 Centro has ordered the suspension of the activities scheduled for this afternoon and tomorrow at the Ospedale del Mare. However, emergency, urgencies and outpatient services remain guaranteed.

In the early afternoon, the pressure drop in the system caused a total interruption of service. The strategic management of the ASL immediately involved the prefect of Naples, Michele Di Bari, to evaluate the actions necessary to contain the disruption.

Thanks to the coordination of the prefect, the interventions of the ASL Napoli 1 Centro, the technical maneuvers of Abc Napoli and the support of the regional Civil Protection - which made available tankers from 14 thousand liters – the situation gradually improved.

At 19:XNUMX p.m., the pressure in the system was restored, allowing water to return even in the most critical areas. However, repair work will continue throughout the night, with constant monitoring by the Prefecture.

For greater safety, the ASL Napoli 1 Centro has decided to keep scheduled activities suspended until the completion of the extraordinary intervention, expected by 14:XNUMX pm tomorrow. Emergency activities and clinics will remain fully operational.
