Marcello Lippi said this in an interview with the Gazzetta dello Sport regarding the fight for the Scudetto, with the imminent challenge between Napoli and Inter.
“Conte was my pupil and was always a point of reference for his teammates,” he continued. “I know Inzaghi less, but he is on a great path of growth. Are two teams in crisis facing each other? I don’t think three games won are enough. Can first and second be in crisis?
For me, Inter can win the Champions League, they can beat everyone. I see balance towards the top. Feyenoord, then a German: we'll see game after game. Conte brought Napoli back to Spalletti's ranking, but it's not magic, it's the quality of the proposal: a top coach intuits what the team needs and makes it happen".
I don't know if it's true that Inter is stronger, but they have good potential. Napoli was good but Atalanta is still there. Lippi's words seem right to me, but we'll see how the pitch behaves.
