The Council of Ministers has approved the bill decree, which provides benefits for approximately eight million families.
The one-off benefit provided by the decree-law approved by Palazzo Chigi will be equal to 200 euros and will be recognized to those who declare an ISEE lower than 25 thousand euros.
Although it is not yet clear how to request the bonus, the same procedure as for social bonuses could be adopted, applying the reduction directly to the bill, without having to fill out forms or send formal requests.
In the press release issued by the Government, we learn that the extraordinary contribution of 200 euros provided for by the decree "will be recognized in the second quarter of 2025 to those who have already submitted the ISEE and in the first available quarter in the event of a new submission".
The effects of the Government's intervention, initially planned for the next six months, will instead be limited to a quarter, in order to concentrate the available resources and generate a clear reduction in bills, in favor of families most in difficulty in the face of the sharp increase in energy costs.

The bill decree seems like a good initiative, but it is not clear whether families will actually be able to get the 200 euros. We hope that it is easy to request and that there are not too many complications.
Yes, I agree, but there are concerns about the bureaucracy. If it is complicated to apply, it could be useless for many people who need help.
Indeed, the procedure must be simple otherwise many families may not benefit from it. It is important that the government clearly communicates how everything works.
