The councilor for Local Police and Legality, Antonio De Iesu, addressed the topic today in the Education and Family Commission, chaired by Aniello Esposito.

During the discussion between some Municipalities, ANM and Local Police, various themes emerged, including the need to intervene on horizontal and vertical signs, the creation of raised crossings and the possibility of involving the "civic grandparents" to guarantee protection to students during entry and exit from schools.
On this last point, the commander of the Local Police, Ciro Esposito, has committed to evaluate its feasibility, considering the need for funds to cover a minimum reimbursement of expenses.
Nino Simeone (Mixed Group) stressed the importance of improving signage and promoting greater collaboration with school leaders to facilitate safe access to schools, reducing the time parents and students spend on streets and pavements.
He also proposed involving civil protection associations to discourage dangerous behavior. Salvatore Flocco (M5S) agreed, believing this to be the best method to create synergies between the Administration and the territories.
The Municipalities have provided their priorities, which will be communicated to the Commission for the drafting of the Local Police intervention plan.
