Jazz guitarist Edoardo Baroni returns to the center of musical attention with his third album, “By Heart”, released by the Clockbeats label. The new work follows on from his previous successes “Dawn” and “Songs”, representing a fusion of technical skill and artistic sensitivity on ten tracks that pay homage to the classical and semi-acoustic jazz guitar.
A Musical Journey
Produced by Dario Mollo, “By Heart” is configured as a sonic journey that intertwines original songs and tributes to leading figures in jazz. The opening with “Let off steam” combines manouche sounds, with an official video launched on Sky TG24, while the tracklist offers new interpretations of classic jazz standards such as “All the things you are”, paying homage to composers such as Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel through “Monsieur GC”.
Influences and Dedications
“Echoes of Spain” stands out for its tribute to Django Reinhardt, a key influence in Baroni’s artistic growth, while “Silvia” represents a personal dedication. The sophisticated performance of “While We're Young”, a piece by Wes Montgomery, sees Baroni playing a semi-acoustic guitar, along with a Fender Blues Deluxe amplifier.
International expansion
With “By Heart”, Baroni is preparing to bring his work to Japan for a tour scheduled for the end of July 2025, which will include a stop at the Expo in Osaka. This event is an important opportunity to introduce his music to an international audience, underlining the universality of his musical language. Edoardo Baroni continues to be a prominent figure in the contemporary jazz scene, with his ability to combine technique and emotion.
