The section dedicated to communication will go to the well-known presenter of Rai 1, and a special will be dedicated to the memory of Maurizio Costanzo, who was on the Morante jury for 15 years
The 2023 Elsa Morante Award for Communication will go to the journalist and presenter of Rai 1 Francesca Fialdini, for her polite and welcoming way of communicating, for her empathetic ability and the always sunny tones of an informative and in-depth journalism.
In this edition of the Award, which has an ideal dedication to the 60 years of the Rai Production Center in Naples, masterfully directed by Antonio Parlati, a special on Maurizio Costanzo will also be broadcast, to pay homage to a great communicator who for about 15 years, was part of the jury of the Award, managing to work also on this year's choices, together with the entire jury, until his very recent, sudden passing.
The Elsa Morante Award 2023 will be celebrated on May 11th at the Rai Auditorium in Naples and will be hosted by Alessandro Incerto and Tiuna Notarbartolo.
It will be possible to follow the event through the Rai Cultura and Rai Italia specials, and thanks to the live streaming on the Rai Press Office website www.ufficiostampa.rai.it.
The jury led by Dacia Maraini and composed of: Francesco Cevasco, Vincenzo Colimoro, Roberto Faenza, David Morante, Gianna Nannini, Antonio Parlati, Teresa Triscari and Tiuna Notarbartolo, director of the event, is announcing, day by day, the winners of the various sections. Those announced so far are those of the Cinema section, won by “Nostalgia” with the director Mario Martone, the actor Francesco Di Leva and the producer of Mad entertainment Luciano Stella; the winner of the Elsa Morante Ragazzi Fantasy Award, Elisabetta Gnone, for the saga “Fairy Oak” (Salani publisher); the Elsa Morante Ragazzi Esperienze Award, Vincenzo Schettini with “La fisica che ci piace” (Mondadori Electa Publisher); the Elsa Morante Ragazzi Social Award, Mattia Villardita with “Io e Spiderman” (Salani publisher), and the Elsa Morante Musica Award to Francesco Sarcina.
The event, organized by the Elsa Morante Prize Cultural Association and Rai Campania, is coordinated by Iki Notarbartolo; Gilda Notarbartolo directs the communication, and is realized in partnership with: Sire – Ricevimenti d'autore, Ninni-Scognamiglio & c.
