“The New Jersey barrier that has been present for more than a decade on Corso Umberto will be removed and replaced with a traffic island curb, with consequent modification of the vertical signs and other road safety devices.” The Councillor for Infrastructure made this known, Edoardo Cosenza.

Cosenza spoke during question time, in this case in response to a question presented by the Vice President of the Council, Flavia Sorrentino. “The promise torn from Councilor Cosenza – says Sorrentino – marks an important turning point”.

“For years, residents and representatives of the merchants of Corso Umberto have complained about insecurity and poor service also due to the work on the Duomo metro station and have asked the administration to guarantee the safety and regularity of traffic while at the same time protecting the safety of tourists and citizens because the significant increase in road accidents is worrying”.
