Simone Inzaghi, technician ofInter, spoke on DAZN at the end of the match which ended in a draw against Napoli: “There is a sense of disappointment, especially with how the match developed. Napoli proved to be a solid team, playing with great quality.
We managed the first half and the beginning of the second well, but unfortunately we made a fatal mistake on the equaliser, which denied us the victory. In the final stretch of the match we lost a bit of lucidity, even if we conceded few chances to Napoli.”
“After a busy week with Bologna, Atletico and Napoli, I praised the lads for their commitment.
The disappointment is particularly felt by our fantastic fans, who welcomed us with great enthusiasm. We would have liked to give them a memorable victory.
We spent three days of in-depth analysis with the group after the Champions League match. Even in defeats, there is always something to learn and take away positively.”
“The situation regarding the corner awarded to Napoli certainly needs to be reviewed, but all in all I think the referee handled a difficult match well.
However, on that play we could have defended better: there is always room for improvement after every match. In addition to our shortcomings, we must recognize the merit of our opponents.”
