A new chapter opens for culture in San Giorgio a Cremano: the Municipality has officially acquired the historic Cinema Flaminio, announcing an ambitious redevelopment project that will transform it into a modern cinema-theater. The structure, closed since 2020, is destined to become the beating heart of the city's cultural life.
“This is a historic day for our community,” said Mayor Zinno, emphasizing the importance of giving back to the city a place that is a symbol of its history and entertainment. The project includes the complete renovation of the two theaters, one with 500 seats and the other with 50, to offer a cutting-edge cinematic and theatrical experience.
“The Flaminio will not be just a cinema,” he added Zinno, "but a real cultural hub where art, theater, music and dance will merge to create a rich and varied offering. We want it to be a place of meeting and exchange, where new generations can find inspiration and where culture is an engine of growth and social cohesion".
The municipal administration has emphasized the importance of involving the entire community in this project, inviting citizens, associations and artists to actively participate in the life of the new cinema-theatre. The goal is to create a lively and dynamic place, capable of responding to everyone's needs and expectations.
With the reopening of the Cinema Flaminio, San Giorgio a Cremano confirms itself more and more as a city attentive to culture and the valorization of its historical heritage.

The news of the acquisition of the Cinema Flaminio is very interesting, but I am not sure if the renovation will be really effective. Let's hope that the cultural events will be well organized and attract a varied audience.
