The first evening of the Sanremo Festival announced the "magnificent five," the competition's top performers.

Giorgia and the theme of hope
Giorgia, at her sixth participation in the Festival, performed “La cura per me”, a song that, as she declared, belongs to her and that represents an invitation to “embrace hope even in dark moments”. With almost thirty years of career and a historic victory in 1994 with “Come Saprei”, the artist continues to be appreciated by the public.
Simone Cristicchi and the parent-child relationship
Simone Cristicchi dedicated “Quando sarai piccola” to his mother, touching on the theme of the relationship between children and parents who grow old, becoming “children of their children”. With a veteran career in the Festival and a victory in 2007 with “Ti regalerò una rosa”, Cristicchi has shown his value as a singer-songwriter.
Achille Lauro, an unmistakable style
Finally, Achille Lauro presented a “true” story from the outskirts of Rome, returning to the competition for the fourth time. With a distinctive look, characterized by white gloves and haute couture suits, Lauro confirmed his unique and provocative style.
