A seventh-grade student was the victim of a premeditated attack by classmates in Marano di Napoli. The girl suffered bruises to her face and abdomen, with a prognosis of three days. The episode, which occurred on February 27, involved a group of peers who, instead of intervening, filmed the scene with their cell phones.
According to the testimony of the mother, who filed a complaint and contacted the deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli of the Green Left Alliance, on the afternoon of February 27, some classmates rang the doorbell at the victim's home, inviting her to go out into the street.
Waiting for her, in addition to her classmates, was a girl who was not in the class and attacked her by pulling her hair and hitting her with kicks and punches in the face and stomach. When she returned home, the young woman showed clear signs of the attack, including blood on her face, bruises and abrasions on the eyebrows, nose and lips.
During the attack, there were also some boys who, instead of intervening, filmed the scene with the intention of spreading it online. The victim's mother received the video of the beating, highlighting the humiliating aspect of what happened.
The police are investigating the incident to clarify responsibilities and adopt the necessary measures to protect the victim.
“Nowadays we are all too accustomed to manifestations of violence,” Borrelli says, “but when the protagonists are girls who are little more than children, we shudder. A punitive raid that mimics the actions of street gangs, a premeditated beating that is inspired by the modus operandi of the worst criminality.
If it is said that these things happen everywhere we reply that unfortunately it is true but this certainly does not reassure us, we look at our own home and we want to solve our problems and to do so we cannot deny the influence of criminal culture on young minds whether or not they come from difficult backgrounds.
We have asked that all the protagonists of this criminal act be identified, from the person who set the ambush to the person who beat him (it seems that it is not the first time he has done it) and to the person who filmed it.”

This is truly a brutal thing to happen to such young people, violence should never be accepted, I hope the authorities can do something to avoid similar situations in the future.
The situation is worrying and makes us reflect on how young people behave today, we should teach respect and tolerance from an early age to prevent episodes like this.
