The Court of Assizes has inflicted 5 years and 6 months to Maurizio Ammendola, 45 years old accused of being the head of the order and initially accused of subversive association for the purposes of terrorism reformed, thanks to the speeches of the lawyers, to subversive association of the democratic order. Defending Ammendola are the lawyers Nunzia Amoroso and Lidia Mastroianni ready to appeal the sentence.

“We are satisfied with the result and we have already decided to study the documents to appeal and restore further clarity”. The same sentence for Michele Rinaldi (49 years old); 3 years and 6 months for Gianpiero Testa (27) and three years of imprisonment for Massimiliano Mariano (48). For this last defendant the Court of Assizes deemed the role of promoter non-existent.

The defendants were arrested on November 15, 2022 by the Digos of Naples and the Central Directorate of Prevention Police-Ucigos with the Postal and Communications Service at the end of investigations coordinated by the Naples Prosecutor's Office (PM Claudio Orazio Onorati and Antonello Ardituro, later transferred to the DNA). The investigators contested, among other things, the crime of association for the purpose of terrorism or subversion of the democratic order.

Ammendola, according to investigators, was the president of the Order of Hagal: in addition to directing the subversive group, he also carried out proselytism and indoctrination activities via the web (on Facebook, Telegram and YouTube); Rinaldi is instead indicated as the vice president and assisted Ammendola; Mariano was also a collaborator of the president (he distributed tests and evaluated the entry of new adepts into the order;

Testa instead organized, among other things, excursions and meetings to keep lawyers among the proselytes also via web with extremist and neo-Nazi associations from Ukraine and other states. Testa also took care of training in the use of bladed weapons and firearms and in the use of explosives.

The organization also included Anton Rodomskyy (a fugitive who contributed to military training) and Antonio Sallemi (also involved, among other things, in proselytism and indoctrination). The group (which according to the prosecution had weapons at its disposal) promoted racial and ethnic hatred, downplayed the Holocaust and also acted as an instigator.
