NAPLES – The fight against illegal parking attendants in the Neapolitan capital continues unabated: between February 22 and 28, the local police reported eight repeat offenders and fined six additional individuals caught carrying out the illegal activity.
The operation, conducted within the framework of the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Safety, chaired by the Prefect of Naples Michele di Bari, also led to the removal of 263 vehicles, of which 19 were returned to their owners before transport, and to the removal of 36 vehicles, including cars and motorcycles, in a presumed state of abandonment. The checks on traffic violations produced significant numbers: 4.271 reports were issued for violations of the Highway Code, with 611 fines contested directly to the offenders.
Added to these are 286 fines issued by the auxiliary personnel of the ANM during the extraordinary operations to combat the phenomenon of illegal parking attendants. The Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, expressed his appreciation for the work carried out by the commander of the local police, Ciro Esposito, and the officers involved, underlining the importance of an incisive action for the protection of legality on the territory.
