In March 2025, the Carabinieri tracked him down and arrested him in Reggio Emilia, the city where he had settled for years, building a life far from the mafia that had sucked him in at just thirteen years old.

In Emilia, Giuliano had developed a new normality: a partner, the gym, physical fitness, and constant exposure to social media, fragments of a regained freedom. That carefree virtual world, however, crumbled under the weight of a final sentence.

Before him loomed the certain prospect of serving sixteen years in prison for a murder committed on July 9, 1998, in the midst of a bloody feud.

Massive amounts of capital, accumulated through illicit trafficking, were allegedly channeled into high-profile businesses: two restaurants located on the Naples seafront and an exclusive club in the Chiaia district.

It will now be up to investigators from the Public Prosecutor's Office and law enforcement to cross-reference data, verify financial flows, analyze company records, and scrutinize the actual ownership to determine who actually owns these businesses.

The multi-million dollar business of scamming the elderly

Alongside drug trafficking and luxury restaurants, the investigative picture is enriched by a particularly odious and profitable chapter: the chain of scams targeting the elderly.

A veritable industrial sector of crime, run with managerial flair. According to Giuliano Jr.'s revelations, the entire operation is reportedly controlled by "Zecchetella" and his close family.

Anyone intending to operate in the business of defrauding the defenseless is required to pay a fixed fee to the organization. This extortionate and associative mechanism, according to investigative estimates supported by reports, generates millions of euros each year, providing lifeblood and immediate liquidity to the clan's common fund.
